FREE was written on FEBRUARY 11th 1990 by Jimmy Duncan of Barbados and Tony Brannon of Bermuda - two brothers from different islands who witnessed on live TV Nelson Mandela's freedom from imprisonment after 27 years of wrongful detention.....We wrote the song on the spot...."FREE FREE FREE - they opened the gates and he is FREE". Jimmy recently recorded a completely new version/arrangement of the song FREE and it feels really appropriate for these times we all live in, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This video was created specially for this arrangement.
